All of the wedding photographs have been made as candid photographs. Made from the view of the guest, not the photographer. My aim is to work in an unobtrusive way.
I have produced photographs for some of the most talented contemporary craft artists in the south-west of England. These artists have used the images, to enter and win competitions and to support their portfolios when presenting to galleries. High-quality imagery puts you at an advantage over other artists, it helps promote you, sell your work, get into competitions and galleries.
My fine art practice is based around the environment, and meditative walks, I record with a Fujica Professional GM670 exposing Kodak Professional Porta 160 or Ilford FP4 125 Black and White Emulsion..
I purchased my first camera aged sixteen an Olympus Trip 35. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography. I am an Associate of The Royal Photographic Society. I have a PGCE to teaching in the post 16 sector. My teaching practice has been observed with a grade 1 ‘Outstanding’ for both specialist subject knowledge and teaching practice. I am a member of the Society for Education and Training, I am working towards QTLS. As a student, I was fortunate enough to do some assisting for Martin Parr. I am a former soldier I served in The Royal Corps of Signals, my conduct record is exemplary. I have an enhanced DBS disclosure. I have full public liability insurance.

Providing technician cover for academics and students across a range of Engineering qualifications that include BTEC Extended Diploma and Fda Engineering as well as supporting Babcock Marine apprentices. I have made this change, so that I can concentrate on my fine are photography practice. Also One Small Candle for Pilgrim 400 in 2020. I will also continue to photograph for a number of select glass clients, weddings and social occasions of friends. I will continue my passions within photography, photographing live performances and Landscape with my 1974 Fujica Professional GM670 f3.5 100mm using Kodak Porta 160 and Ilford HP4 125. i have opted to do this so that I can contact and push my fine art work in to galleries for commission only sales. I also plan to produce Zines and a self publish a book of contemporary Landscape photography.

As part of my PGCE, I was in placement at Plymouth College of Art (PCA). My subject pedagogy was instrumental to the contextualisation of learners work, enabling them to understand where their work fits in within the context of their particular discipline.
I have also delivered short courses on traditional 35mm silver halide based media, developing and refining the fundamentals of photography through practice.
My teaching practice has been observed as outstanding for both subject knowledge and in the teaching of learners. Several of the students that I taught went on to achieve a distinction in the UAL Foundation Art and Design.

I supported the Archivist and Operations Director in the digitisation of photographic media. I assisted in the setup, management, also the development of a new photographic archive.
I assisted in the production of two funding applications and a development grant that were all successfully approved. I assisted in writing the interpretation plan for a National Lottery Heritage funding application, also the management of relocating the archive to more suitable, accessible premises.
I also won a graduate prize where I delivered a curatorial project using the photographs of Roy Westlake ARPS from the SWiB archives to visually investigate the narrative of heritage, culture, industry, the environment, agriculture and landscape of the south-west of England.
